Manager Operations

Job description

As Manager Operations, you are a member of the management team and lead several production managers and team leaders. You know and take care of the entire production process and ensure that the flow between the work centers is optimized. You keep reports on lead times, equipment utilization and turnover. Further optimization regarding quality performance is carried out in consultation with the Quality Engineer and the department manager. In addition, you maintain good contact with the team members on the floor and you know exactly what is going on. In this role you have a clear vision of where you want to take the organization in the coming years.

Tasks and Responsibilities

You are responsible for the entire operation within ATM Oirschot, reporting to the Managing Director;
You are responsible for creating an involved, motivated and technically competent team together with the production managers and team leaders;
You lay down the procedures and processes in the quality system, together with the Quality Engineer and other stakeholders;
You are responsible for the optimization of work centers;
You are responsible for developing, establishing and driving approved operational plans within the agreed budget;
You set operational targets and assign them to production managers and team leaders. You ensure that employees deliver productive results for the organization;
You support a continuous improvement culture and realize a zero defect mentality;
As process owner, you establish and write the necessary processes resulting from the responsibilities and these are provided with relevant updates in a timely manner;
You are part of the Management Team and help ensure that the organization's objectives are met, risks are managed appropriately and the organization's resources are used efficiently.

Job Requirements

Completed HBO + education in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry or Business Administration, this is a plus;
You have affinity with technology;
You have experience in a managerial role within a production environment;
You have good communication and social skills;
You are familiar with process optimization and process improvement, such as Lean manufacturing;
You have a high degree of flexibility and are available in the day shift;
You have a good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing. Some knowledge of the German language is an advantage;
You have strong analytical skills and are solution oriented.
